Tai Hock Lin (Andy)

Andy is an experienced trainer and consultant in data science and data analytics, with a focus on AI consultancy. With nearly 30 years of working experience across various sectors, including universities, startups, and government bodies, Andy has played a crucial role in analyzing the growth potential of Infocomm companies. He has supported numerous startups, SMEs, and MNCs in tapping into government grants to kickstart their digitalization initiatives. Additionally, he has coached and account managed promising startups during their incubation in one of Singapore’s renowned ecosystems, including BLK 71. Before fully dedicating himself to corporate training, he was part of the Singapore civil service, working on economic research and policy initiatives. Through these experiences, Andy has gained unique insights into the real-world challenges faced by corporates and individuals, including the limitations and trade-offs of government policies. As a trainer, he delivers data analytics courses that focus on business insights and macroeconomic trends analysis, incorporating real-world case studies to help learners understand and apply their knowledge effectively. Furthermore, Andy participates in coaching sessions, sharing his expertise to assist data analysts in overcoming challenges in their work.

In addition to his role at ANN-SENSE, Andy has active teaching engagements with Gen Infiniti Academy, Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Singapore Business Federation (SBF), PSB Academy, and others. He holds a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), specializing in conducting courses for continuing professional development.

Andy graduated with a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from the National University of Singapore, achieving a distinguished CAP score of 4.6.
