Learners are strongly encouraged to take our “Prometheus” course prior to this, as many of the concepts covered in this course will be built upon earlier fundamental knowledge. The focus of this course would be to combine advanced data visualisation techniques with machine learning to perform sense making. For example, learners will be able to use these concepts to perform cluster analysis (such as customer segmentation, competitor analysis, etc) and to visualise and interpret the results. This course is conducted using R programming. Learners need to indicate their proficiency (i.e. None, basic, or advanced level) in R programming and data analytics. Do reach out to us for a discussion, if necessary. We can commence the course so long as there are at least 4 learners in the class.
This course touches on the essentials of Computer Vision (using OpenCV) and application of Neural Networks in image recognition using Python programming. Learners need not have prior coding experience, as the fundamentals of Python programming will be covered in the class. This is a unique course that is designed to bring you through the various neural networks from simplest to advanced models in the context of computer vision all within a span of 3 days.

Andy is an experienced trainer in data science and data analytics.
Andy has over 20 years of working experience in many establishments, including universities, startups, and government bodies. In those roles, he has been involved in analysing growth potential of Infocomm companies and have supported many startups, SMEs, and MNCs to tap on government grants to kickstart their digitalisation initiatives. Additionally, he has also coached, account managed, and invested promising startups while they were still being incubated in one of Singapore’s renowned incubation ecosystems, including BLK 71. Prior to devoting full time into lecturing, he was with the Singapore civil service working on economic research and other policy initiatives. Collectively, Andy has acquired unique perspectives of the real-world challenges that corporates and individuals faced, including the limitations and trade-offs of government policies. As a trainer, he delivers analytic courses that focuses on business insights and macroeconomic trends analysis, and incorporates real-world perspectives as case studies. In turn this helps learners better understand and apply acquired learnings into practice.
Aside from ANN-SENSE, Andy also has active teaching engagements with Gen Infiniti Academy, Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and others. He has acquired WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) that specialises in conducting courses for continuing professional development.
